AREA INFORMATION Scarlet Oak is a (fictional) township, located in the East side of Ann Arbor, and not too far North-West of Ypsilanti. It's within driving distance of the University of Michigan campus, and a great community for both families and college students alike. Lately, Scarlet Oak has got a bit of statewide publicity, for being home to the first vampire bar in the state. Curious Michiganders from all over the state have made plans to travel to the quaint township and see what all the fuss is about.
10 - Budget Lodge - CHEAP motel. Includes hourly rates. Try not to touch too much in the rooms.
11 - William Ballard House - A mansion-turned-massive halfway house for the supernatural. In association with Joining Hands, the home is making waves for taking in supernaturals of any kind in need of aid.
13 - Sarah's Place - A 50's styled diner with checkered floors and advertising the World's Best Malts. Really, it's just a grease sink and not for those with heart disease.
14 - Joining Hands - A non-profit organization working to reunite families with their missing loved ones.
15 - Law Offices of Treat G. Lorimer - A private law firm owned by Treat Lorimer omnomnoming that offers estate planning services. Hours by appointment.
16 - Bargain Books - used book store.
17 - Scarlet Oak Stables - Owned by Isadora Angel-Dragani (npc). All the land here between the roads and the river belong to the stables. Offers boarding and riding lessons. Now also features housing for large familiars!
18 - Anywhere But Here - A hole in the wall pub that serves an astounding array of alcohol and mixed drinks and a few entrees of dubious quality. Most people come here to drink, not eat, and there's a tiny stage that occasionally has live music.
19 - Sunny's Diner - A cheerful, down-home little place that serves breakfast and lunch every day, open from 6AM to 6PM, and dinner on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, when it closes at 10PM.
20 - Lenore Bookstore & Cafe - Sells newly released books and bestsellers of every genre including romance, horror, science fiction, children's books, non-fiction, cookbooks and features local authors. In addition, you can pick up literary accessories, journals, and candles. The small, cozy cafe sells gourmet coffee, iced tea and a variety of muffins and scones. Lenore Bookstore & Cafe will also order any book we do not have in stock.
24 - Ozzy's - A concert club so named not because of Ozzy Osbourne but because the owners are Australians, it is a great support to the local music scene - seeing as there tends to be a different local band playing there every night. It also has a bar, of course, and different sitting from tables and chairs to comfortable couches. It is open every night from 9pm to 2am. Concerts start at 10:30pm.
25 - Aeaea - A two-story occult and supernatural bookstore, offering knowledge of anything you could need in the subjects. Also sells magical supplies and spell ingredients. The owner is an open witch-for-hire. Don't mind the black panther wandering about, that's just her familiar.
32 - Grandma’s Closet - Secondhand Store & Consignment.
33 - Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Restaurant - You will step back in time over 100 years to see servers dressed in pin-striped vests, old fashioned ties, and cane hats. The restaurants feature the distinctive appearance of a century past ice cream parlor. The newspaper type menu, old fashioned candy and delicious food and ice cream will let you experience what made Farrell's famous all across the U.S. There are even accommodations for those with certain dietary needs.
34 - Seeds of Beauty - A flower shop. Discounts on all funeral arrangements.
35 - Scarlet Oak Animal Hospital - a city-owned, privately-funded veterinary care facility. Hospital hours are: Weekdays: 8 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Saturdays 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. & Sundays and Holidays by Emergencies only. There is also a drop-in clinic for check-ups and non-emergencies at the same times. Services include surgery, dentistry, medicine, immunizations and neutering/spaying.
39 - The Mudhouse - A coffeeshop/café that doubles as a bar after dark. Frequent open mic nights!
40 - The South Hamilton Street Performance Artists - A tiny, renovated theater with performance artists and freakshows on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Performers: Bonnie _spitfyre: Fire breather, fire dancer, knife-thrower.
41 - The Berry Bucket - An old-fashioned drive-in movie theater. Two movies a night, every week, open June through early September. Named for the wild berries that grow in the forests surrounding the theater.
42 - Amazing Grace Church - A moderately sized-church built on a hill set a ways off the road, surrounded by the woods, with a wrought-iron gate surrounding the grounds. Services are held weekly at noon on Sunday's with additional Wednesday sermons at 8:00 p.m. Additionally, demonic-blooded people will not feel uneasy on these grounds, but angelic-blooded people will.
43 - Hardcore Paintball Various courses and games. Paintball gun and supply rentals.

45 - Ars Glesum - Cleo's glassblowing shop. Features hand-blown and sculpted glassworks of all types. Also offers glassblowing demonstrations basically whenever the owner's at work during business hours. Open Tuesday - Saturday 10 am to 4 pm minimum, though the owner's been known to open early or stay open later when the mood strikes.

49 - The Owl's Nest Restaurant and Pub - The Owl’s Nest Restaurant and Pub, opened in 1965, specializes in the best American cuisine has to offer. If you’re looking for the best steak, seafood or pasta dish in the state, you’ll be sure to find it here. Specials change daily, depending on the food in season. 50 - First Baptist Church - This church is open to all supernaturals. Services on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
51 - North Chief Farmer's Market - An outdoor farmer's market, offering everything from local produce, crafts, and secondhand goods. Open from late June until early November.
52 - L'Attique - A jewellery and trinket boutique, one of the few that has actually always taken care to make cure there is no iron in the merchandise and anything containing silver is stocked in an entirely different section to everything else. A lot of what is sold here is locally made - some by the owner - but highstreet brands are also available.
